Helping Create a Better Tomorrow Today
Generations of Commitment
Chair:
Ingrid LeVasser
Initially united in 1854 by the promise to abolish slavery, the Republican Party has always stood for freedom, prosperity, and opportunity. For decades the Windham Republican Town Committee (WRTC) has continued to carry the torch of liberty and has diligently worked to secure Republican victories at the ballot box.
Since the founding of the WRTC, it has been an integral part of local elections by supporting, recruiting, and nominating local and state candidates. From the founding members to local Republican icons like Barbara Strout and Gary Plummer the committee and its members have worked diligently for the people of Windham.
The WRTC has had a long-standing active committee, although it has fluctuated over the years, it has maintained a level of commitment that reflects the true spirit of Windham. From just a handful of founders to 30+ active members in the 1970s, today the WRTC has over 60 active and supporting members. These dedicated members have and continue to work tirelessly on many endeavors to help elect your Republican candidates. From the legendary "progressive dinner" fundraisers to the poll watchers protecting the integrity of our elections the WRTC has, is, and will continue to be the light leading Windham in the right direction.
Today, as our principles come under attack from the far left, we are engaged in an effort to fight for our liberties, spread our message, grow the party, promote election integrity, and elect Republicans up and down the ballot. The principles of the Republican Party recognize one's God-given liberties while promoting opportunity for every American.
